Volunteer as a Family

Volunteer as a family. Make it age appropriate for your children. There are many benefits when you volunteer as a family. You spend time together, you help make differences, and you gain new experiences.

Be sure to make it age appropriate, meaning don't take children where you as a parent wouldn't feel comfortable. Maybe a more appropriate opportunity is giving gifts to less fortunate children closer to their age. You decide.

Before and after the experience, be sure to discuss with your children how they felt, what they have learned, and reactions to the experience.

Make volunteering a traditional event in your family.
